Katy Burns

Katy joined McDonald Steed McGrath in 2004 as a solicitor and Registered Migration Agent. Graduating from the Flinders University of South Australia in 2000 with a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice, and a Bachelor of Arts, Katy was admitted to legal practice in South Australia in 2001. Beginning her career in general commercial law locally, Katy then traveled overseas for two years working in dispute resolution in London.

Since joining McDonald Steed McGrath, Katy has been actively involved in all aspects of Migration Law with a particular focus on:

• Employer Sponsored visas
• Family Migration
• Special Migration

She also has extensive experience in the preparation of argument for appeals in the Migration Review Tribunal, the Refugee Review Tribunal and the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
